NFL Tour: Game isn’t ready

It’s a bad sign when a preview says your game isn’t done. Here is Game Informer’s final paragraph in their preview.

Overall, we had to question whether or not this would be a full-fledged release, or something we could download for either Xbox Live Arcade or the PSN. There just doesn’t seem to be a lot to NFL Tour. Even for a first-release next-gen game, not only is NFL Tour light on the feature set, but it doesn’t feel very next-gen at all Where are all the online features and ESPN integration we’ve grown to love in the other EA Sports games? Why can’t you share replays with your friends online? Where are the high-poly-count character models? Tiburon said that this was close to the final build of the game, and after playing NFL Tour for a few days, we think it’s time to stick this one back in the oven—it’s definitely not finished yet.

Summarizing that to one line, “Rent if you must, but don’t buy this game!” You’ve been warned.
