Almost a month, no Madden patch, yet.
Wednesday, November 21, 2007Getting things approved from Microsoft must be like trying to get a children’s health bill through Congress. On October 29, Madden producers announced there would be a patch but did not elaborate on a release date. It’s been almost a month, a no patch. I’m not ready to say its not coming. In fact, I think MS is to blame for the delay. If you’ve read any blogs concerning the releases of Xbox Live Arcade games, it seems MS certification is a real bitch.
I don’t believe EA will pull the patch after letting the cat out of the bag in the producer’s blog. However they did pull the NCAA 360 patch, while releasing one for the PS3. When should we get worried? If the Jolly Fat Man pays you a visit and there’s no patch, we will never see one.
Among the key fixes are:
- FA Pool Bug
- Fumble Reduction
- Better DB AI or Awareness
Madden would be a completely new game if they properly fixed them. That’s how much the turnovers and defensive AI hurt the gameplay.
